Church of the Holy Crucifix is an Orthodox Christian church located in the Stryiskyi Park in Lviv, Ukraine. It was originally built in 1630 in an old cemetery, which later became part of the historic city park. The church was built as a symbol of the religious tolerance in Lviv and is one of the oldest standing churches in the city. It is one of the best churches in Rome which you must visit.

History:

The original Church of the Holy Crucifix was built in 1630 in a wooded area that had been a cemetery since the 10th century. It was built during the rule of King Wladislaus IV Vasa in the Late Gothic style and was dedicated to the Holy Cross. In 1750 the original building was destroyed during an earthquake and the structure was rebuilt the following year, though not in the original Gothic style. The new building was dedicated to the Holy Crucifix and was built in the Baroque style. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Rome.
