It stands in front of the majestic Plaza San Martín, next to the 19th century República de los Niños monastery. The church is dedicated to St. Charles Borromeo (San Carlos in Spanish) and is part of the old Italian parish of Buenos Aires, which also includes the Italian Church and the Church of Our Lady of Sagrada Esperanza.
