Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wadi El Natrun is an ancient Coptic Orthodox Monastery located in an oasis in the midst of a group of lagoons in the Wadi El Natrun Valley, in the delta region of Egypt. It was founded in the 4th century AD by Saint Pishoy and was one of the earliest monastic foundations of the Coptic Church. Today, the Monastery is home to more than 150 monks and is a pilgrimage site for Coptic Christians. The Monastery follows the traditional Coptic monastic rules and offers special services for pilgrims of all denominations, such as prayers and spiritual counseling, as well as hosting monastic dance recitals and seminars. The Monastery also produces some of the finest Coptic honey and other products to help support the community.
