Iglesia de los Jesuitas (San Ildefonso) is a Jesuit Catholic Church located in Toledo, Spain. It was founded in 1589 by Diego de Deza, the first Jesuit Provincial of Castilla. The church is dedicated to Saint Ildefonso and is a part of the larger Jesuit regional structures in Spain. It is one of the best churches in Spain which you must visit.

History:

The church was built between 1591 and 1611. Construction of the church was made possible by the contributions of many people from the area, including merchants and noble families. The main entrance is decorated with a large sculpted relief of the Immaculate Conception. The interior is decorated with paintings, sculptures and altarpieces from the eighteenth century. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Spain.

The church has a large rectangular plan, with ornate and intricate architectural detailing.
