Muro della Repubblica Romana is a 19th-century defensive wall built in Rome by the Roman Republic. The wall was designed to defend the republic from civil unrest and foreign invasion. The wall is a stone structure consisting of two massive granite and marble walls with five gates. The wall extends for 1.2 miles and is approximately 45-50 feet high. The gates of the wall are decorated with Roman-style sculptures. The wall is now a popular tourist attraction and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
