Church of Saint Barnabas is an Anglican church located in the parish of Hilton, Derbyshire, England. The church is dedicated to Saint Barnabas, the apostle, who is often known as the “Son of Encouragement” for his enthusiastic work in the early days of Christianity. History:

The church is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and is a Grade I listed building. It was first built as a chapel in the 11th Century and was originally served by secular priests. It was remodeled in the 13th, 15th and 19th centuries. The most recent building works took place in 2010 and included the installation of a new altar, doors and the reordering of the interior. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Spain.
