Kostel Nejsvětějšího Srdce Páně (also known as the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord) is a church located in Prague, Czechia. It is a late Baroque building and was constructed in the late 19th century between 1883 and 1885. The church is dedicated to the most sacred heart of Jesus and was the first public demonstration of devotion to his Sacred Heart after the apparition of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century. The church is a popular tourist site and a house of worship for locals and visitors. The interior of the church is designed in a beautiful Baroque-style, decorated with inlaid marble, paintings and sculptures. One of the most dominant features of this church is the golden mosaic above the main altar titled “The Descent of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord”. The church also houses a number of other fascinating works of art and artifacts, including frescoes, stained-glass windows and several antique statues.
