The chapel of St. Wenceslas is mentioned in a document from 1337, but it is likely that the chapel was built before that time. The present church was built in 1739, replacing an old Gothic chapel. The main altar is the work of Ignác Xiška, a famous sculptor from Jindřichův Hradec. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Czechia.
