The Church of St. Jacob - Brno in Czechia, also known as St. Jakubský Kostel, is a church located in the Old Town district of Brno, Czech Republic. It dates to the 12th century and is the second oldest church in the city. The church is a Gothic style structure that was significantly expanded and renovated in the 17th and 18th centuries. Inside the church can be found Baroque furnishings, including altars and statues. The church's most noteworthy feature is the wooden ceiling built by Joachim Wtweiss in 1737, which is decorated with an imitation of the night sky painted between the wooden panels. It is also home to the only bronze bell cast in Brno, dated 1714. The church recently underwent a renovation to preserve the historic building from further deterioration. Services are still held today, with weddings and other liturgical events taking place in the church.
