: Yuantong Temple (aka Yuan Tong Temple/Yuan-tong Ssu) is located in Kunming Province, which was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Southern Song Dynasty. The temple is located to the north of Dianchi Lake, and is dedicated to the Buddhist deity Avalokitesvara, also known as Guanyin in Chinese culture. Worship Method:
The traditional worship methods of Yuantong Temple in China involve a set of rituals, ceremonies and acts of piety. Visitors first enter the main hall of the temple and chant the Buddhist mantra. They also make a donation to the Buddhist monks, monks and nuns. Below the main hall is the shrine or altar where worshippers offer incense and recite Buddhist sutras. Other important ceremonies in the temple include circumambulation, Buddha bathing, worshiping the Buddhas, reciting scriptures and chanting mantras.
