Worship Method:

The Iron Pagoda is an ancient tower built during the Liao Dynasty in Kaifeng, Henan Province, China. The Iron Pagoda is a sacred place to worship and pay respect to the gods and ancestral spirits of China's ancient past. Worshippers normally practice three forms of worship at the Iron Pagoda: offering sacrifices, burning incense and praying. Before entering the pagoda, worshippers lay out offerings and sacrificial animals such as a chicken or duck on the ground in front of the tower. Then, the worshipper will light incense and pray silently with their palms together in a form of obeisance. After the prayer, they will light a few incense sticks in a ceramic bowl and bow three times and clap the hands three times in a gesture of respect. This gesture helps to transfer the spirit of the prayer to the gods. Finally, the worshipper can place the sacrificed animals inside the pagoda and pray the blessing for their family. All these actions are part of the traditional forms of worship associated with the Iron Pagoda. This most visited temple in China
