The church was built in 2004 and is part of the Diocese of Bamenda. It is one of six churches that serve the small village, and also serves as a social center and gathering place for the local community. History:

The Church was founded in 2004, when Bishop Nkwelle Ezoum of the Diocese of Bamenda directed the parish priests of Ngomgham to construct Immaculate Conception Church. The four-year construction project was spearheaded by the parish priest and built out with the help of local villagers. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Cameroon.

The church is 64 feet long and 52 feet wide. It is made of rammed earth and has a looping, curved roof supported by wooden beams. The church also has a large bell tower at the entrance, which houses four bells.

Services are held on Sundays and several feast days throughout the year, and the church hosts a range of activities, such as Masses, retreats, catechism classes, and concerts.
