EGLISE CEMA is a French Christian denomination established in 2002 by Bishop Raymond Meyer. The denomination was intended to, apart from administering the sacraments and providing a platform for Christian life, give a new approach to ecclesiastical life, by stressing importance on social outreach and humanitarian work. The denomination has fifteen centers in France and Switzerland, a website, and its unusual approach has attracted members from a variety of Christian backgrounds. History:

 EGLISE CEMA, or The Church of the Ecumenical and Ministerial Alliance, was founded in 2002 by Bishop Raymond Meyer, a former Baptist and Pentecostal minister who wanted to create a new understanding of the Christian faith. He chose the slogan “cιhe unie, espιrance vivante” (united church, living hope) for the church’s mission statement, stressing the importance of promoting Christian unity and compassion.
