Cathédrale Sainte Thérèse Bouaké is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Bouaké, Ivory Coast. It was built in 1952 and is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bouaké, which was established in 2004. The cathedral was named for St. Thérèse of Lisieux and is currently the largest Catholic building in the country. The cathedral is noted for its intricate stained glass windows and metalwork.
History
The cathedral was opened on December 8, 1952 after four years of construction. It was built to replace the older church of St. Therese located in the city center. Since its completion, the cathedral has been a key part of religious ceremonies throughout the country.
Facts
The cathedral is 60 meters (197 ft) long and 45 meters (148 ft) wide. It can accommodate more than 4,000 people. The ceiling of the building is constructed from wooden planks. The cathedral also contains several large statues, including those of St. Thérèse, St. Peter, and St. Paul. The cathedral has seven stained-glass windows and eight metal bells.

The cathedral holds regular Catholic services, including masses and confessions. The cathedral is also used to host baptisms and weddings. Events such as concerts and workshops are also held at the cathedral on occasion.
