History:

is rooted in the 1980’s when Missionary Robert Pennington, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, arrived in Brazil. He and his family planted the first independent Calvary Baptist Church (CBC) in the city of Jundiai in an industrial suburb of Sao Paulo State. Since its humble beginnings of 53 members, CBC has grown to nearly 600 members at five different campuses joyfully proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Our mission is to lead people to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and experience His power in their lives. We continue to celebrate the growth of the ministry, including the planting of daughter churches such as Praise Baptist Church in Jundiai, Victory Baptist Church and Riverside Baptist Church in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. In addition, to its local churches, the ministry supports thirty-two missionaries in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, USA, and Mexico. It is one of the best churches in Brazil which you must visit.
