The church began as a mission outreach in 1922, founded by Rev. Amos Ludwig. The mission outgrew the original location and in 1937, settled into its current location on River Street in Thorold. The church has been at the same address ever since with various congregational, building and programming changes along the way. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Botswana.
