History:

The history of the African Apostolic Church can be traced back to the 1890s when three mission churches from England and Wales, the Welsh Apostolic Church, the Glad Tidings Tabernacle and the Pentecostal Missionary Church, arrived in East Africa and began to establish congregations. These congregations formed the basis of what is now called the African Apostolic Church. Under the leadership of Welsh Apostles, the mission churches quickly spread throughout the region, bringing in members by the thousands and establishing new churches in multiple countries. By the 1930s, the African Apostolic Church had become a fully autonomous denominational group and has since gone on to establish a presence in over 15 countries across Africa.
