History:

Calvary Baptist Church was established in 1952 by missionaries from the American Baptist Mission Board. The mission was known as the Central Belize Mission and the church itself went by the name Mission Station Baptist Church. In the 1980s, the church was officially renamed Calvary Baptist Church in keeping with the mission’s emphasis on proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Belize.
