Tserkov' Svyatogo Nikolaya (Church of Saint Nicholas) is a Russian Orthodox church located in St. Petersburg, Russia. The church was built in 1766-1771 and was originally dedicated to the Nativity of Jesus Christ. It was later re-dedicated to Saint Nicholas in 1806. It is part of the Tsar's Palace Complex. History:

Construction began on the church in 1766, when Tsarina Catherine the Great commissioned renowned Italian architects Giacomo Quarenghi and Pietro Antonio Trezzini. The church was opened in 1771 and was originally dedicated to the Nativity of Jesus Christ. In 1806, it was re-dedicated to Saint Nicholas.
