Tserkov' Svyatogo Georgiya (Church of St. George) is an Eastern Orthodox church located in the old city of Kiev, Ukraine. Founded in 1150 by Prince Mstislav Vladimirovich, later Saint George, it is one of the oldest churches in the city. It is the main church for the local community of Saint George (Georgeivtsi) and is the traditional home of the feast of St. George the Victorious celebrated each November 26. The church has various features of Byzantine, Baroque and Russian architecture. Its palatial golden domes are a symbol of the city. It also has an icon of Saint George painted by Oleg Moshynsky, a 16th-century icon painter. The church is open to visitors who are able to partake in services and take part in various special events at the church.
