St Ambrose Church was first established in 1961 when the Anglican Diocese of Barbados was founded. The church was built in an area of the city that was once an unexplored and impoverished area. Reverend Ambrose dedicated many years to the establishment of the church and its many programs and services. His dedication to the members of this church, and the surrounding community, cannot be overstated. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Barbados.
