Brief History:

The Ishwarganj Jame Mosque is one of the older and historic mosques of Bangladesh. It is located at the Ishwarganj Upazila of Mymensingh district. It was constructed during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahangir by Shayesta Khan, one of His Viceroys. It was later renovated by Mughal Emperor Farrukhsiyar. The mosque has three large domes, four minarets and a few mihrabs inside for prayer. The central mosque has five arched entrances. The Ishwarganj Jame Mosque is a traditional Mughal-style mosque located in the Ishwarganj Upazila of Mymensingh district, Bangladesh. Architectural details such as fine marble carvings, beautiful floral patterns, Quranic inscriptions, and ornamental designs are used to decorate the building.
