is a 17th-century Mughal-style mosque located in Boro Katra in old Dhaka, Bangladesh. The mosque was built some time between 1644 and 1646 by Mughal Subahdar Shaista Khan, who was the governor of Bengal at the time. The three-domed mosque stands on a high platform, with a single-domed entrance gateway and a prayer chamber divided by arched entrances. The building is made of brick, and features traditional Mughal elements such as pointed archways and tiled mosaic floors. The interior of the mosque is adorned with a variety of calligraphy, including an inscription from the Qur’an. Although the mosque has been restored several times, its original features remain intact. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bangladesh which you must visit.

The Boro Katra Mosque, located in Dhaka, is a prominent mosque of the Mughal era. It is a large rectangular structure, composed of two stories, that was built in the 17th century. The walls of the building are made of small red bricks, which are interspersed with white marble plaques. The large central dome, which was added later, is constructed from white marble and the roof is domed. The building is heavily embellished with intricate terracotta mouldings and stucco decorations which are typical of Mughal architecture. The entrance to the building is through a tall arched gateway, which is decorated with glazed tiles in blue and white. Inside, there is a long central hall, which is flanked by two narrow lateral halls, and divided by a partition wall with a central Mihrab. From the entrance there is an inner staircase, which leads up to the roof. From here, one can get a better view of the intricate stucco decoration on the walls. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
