Holy Children Chapel, Vanadzor is a small chapel located in the city of Vanadzor in Armenia. Built in 1989–1990, the chapel is dedicated to the Holy Children, a symbol of children’s innocence and the power of faith. The chapel draws inspiration from the story of the Holy Children's faith. According to the legend, the children were martyred for their unwavering faith in Jesus, whom they had been told about by a mysterious old man. The chapel was built on top of a sarcophagus, a granite box filled with sand which served as a memorial to the three young children. Inside the chapel, there is an icon depicting the children surrounded by their torturers. The icon embodies their strength, courage, and their fidelity to their faith, which was powerful enough to put them in danger of Martyrdom. Today, the chapel serves as a religious site, where Armenians come to worship, light candles, and pay homage to the brave Holy Children. The chapel is open to people of all backgrounds and religious beliefs, and visitors are invited to attend worship services and special events. The chapel also hosts pilgrimages, memorial services, and educational programs.
