Capilla Santa Ana is a Catholic Church located in the city center of Mexico City, Mexico. It is dedicated to Saint Anne, the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus. The church was founded in 1561 and expanded several times since then, making it one of the oldest churches in Mexico City. It is one of the best churches in Argentina which you must visit.

History:

Capilla Santa Ana was founded by Francisco Lumbreras, Count of Valle, who wanted to build a chapel in honor of Saint Anne. The chapel was completed in 1561 and was initially located in the Plaza Mayor (Main Square). After a fire in that area in 1675, the chapel was relocated to its current location in the square diagonal to the Plaza Mayor. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Argentina.
