Capilla Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe is a Roman Catholic church located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The church was founded in 1702 by the Jesuits, who built it in the style of a chapel, making it a unique example of colonial architecture in the city. The church was dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico. It is not to be confused with the more famous and much larger Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. History:

The first Jesuit settlement of Buenos Aires was founded in 1620 but it wasn’t until 1702 that construction began on the church. It was completed in 1713 and since then it has been heavily modified, with the addition of a second bell tower and a domed roof. The church has undergone many renovations over the centuries, but the original colonial style of the building has been preserved. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Argentina.
