History:

Quissama National Park is located in the Luanda Province of Angola in southwestern Africa. It is an area of great natural beauty known not just for its rich diversity of wildlife but also for its cultural richness. The park was first declared a national park in 1960, but it had been part of the Portuguese Crown Lands from the 16th century onwards.
