St. Theodore's Church (also known as Çobisi Church) is a 15th-century church in the city of Berat, Albania. It is one of the largest and oldest churches in the city, built at the beginning of the 15th century by Berat Metropolitan Teodorom. The church is built in the Armenian Baroque style with yellow walls, a single cupola, and arched doorways. The interior features frescoes from the 16th and 17th centuries, mosaics, and tiles. It is one of the best churches in Albania which you must visit.

History:

St. Theodore Church was built in the early 1400s to commemorate the Armenian prince Teodorom of Berat, who lived between 1350 and 1424. It served as the main church of the city until the 19th century and has stood witness to many historical events, including Ottoman rule and Albanian independence. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Albania.
