Saint Demetrius Cathedral is the main Orthodox church of Thessaloniki, Greece, and is one of the city's most famous landmarks. It is a cross-domed basilica type church with a large central dome and two smaller domes positioned asymmetrically on either side. The church is dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki, who is also known as “the Myrrh-streaming” saint due to the fragrant oil which is said to have emerged from his relics.
