In the early days of the the region, the hill was home to a reclusive and powerful sorcerer who had made a deal with the Devil. In return for a promise of great power, the sorcerer pledged his soul. At first, the deal seemed beneficial as the sorcerer's magic grew ever more powerful. However, as time went by, strange and sinister events began to happen in the area. Villagers either disappeared outright or turned up dead, often in gruesome and grisly ways. Strange shadows were seen moving through the darkness of Bardo Hill, accompanied by an eerie silence. The villagers were terrified but too afraid to investigate and it was agreed amongst them that something nefarious lingered on the hill. The legend states that the sorcerer is still walking the hill to this day, bound to it by his promise to Satan. Nobody who has attempted to climb the hill has been seen or heard from again.
