Town
Once upon a time, there was a small town called Gulu Town. It was located in a distant, rural area, with few people living there. The town looked rather quaint and picturesque with its old-fashioned buildings and cozy streets.
For years, the inhabitants of Gulu Town had been living in peace and relative comfort. But over time, things changed for the worse. Increasingly mysterious sounds and sightings of strange creatures began to spread around the town. The locals soon grew fearful for their safety as these mysterious occurrences increased in frequency and severity.
One night, one of the villagers heard a loud bang on their door. They opened it to find a gnarled old man with a sinister leer on his face. He warned them of impending doom that will befall the town unless they do as he says. He told the villager that in order to protect Gulu Town, all its inhabitants must sacrifice a loved one every night to the gods. For if they don’t, an even more horrific fate will befall them all.
The villager was disturbed by the cryptic message. But what other choice did they have? Fearful of the consequences, all the inhabitants agreed to follow the old man’s orders. With heavy hearts, they began to pay homage to the gods by offering their loved ones as sacrifices.
Night by night, the sacrifices kept happening in Gulu Town, but things only seemed to get worse. Frightened villagers started to leave en masse, and soon the town was nearly empty. Those who remained started to flicker in and out of existence, as if they belonged to some realm outside of reality.
