Horror Story of Castle of Gaasbeek
Once upon a time, there was a grand old castle hidden in the hills of Gaasbeek. It was said to be haunted and the locals kept away from it, but that did not stop some of the more adventurous villagers from seeking out the castle to find out its secrets.
One cold morning, a small group of villagers gathered to explore the castle. They marched up the winding path to the castle gates and were met by an eerie silence. The gates opened with an earsplitting creak, allowing the adventurers to enter.
Inside the castle, the villagers encountered strange sights and heard strange noises. In the grand hall, they saw horrible creatures with glowing red eyes. As they ventured further in, a spirit ominously warned them not to proceed any further. But the villagers did not heed the warning and continued into the depths of the castle.
Soon, they arrived at a sinister chamber with five thrones sitting atop a raised dais. On each of the thrones sat a hooded figure, their faces hidden beneath their hoods. Beneath their feet was a round table, and at its center, the villagers saw a huge grinning skull.
Frightened, they ran for the exit. But as soon as they left the chamber, the gates to the castle slammed shut. The villagers searched frantically for a way out but to no avail. After hours of searching, they collapsed from exhaustion.
They awoke to find themselves in the same chamber they had been in before, only now their entrance had been blocked by what appeared to be an invisible barrier of energy. Finally, the villagers looked up to see the hooded figures standing on the thrones, now their faces visible.
The villagers shuddered in fear. “We have been waiting for you,” said one of the figures. “We are the guardians of this castle—the Castle of Gaasbeek. Within these walls, evil dwells, and it will take all of your courage and ingenuity to survive and make it out alive.”
The villagers slowly backed out of the chamber and raced out of the castle. When they finally made it to the safety of the village, they never spoke of what happened in the Castle of Gaasbeek and the villagers never returned. It is one of the most haunted places in belgium
