1. Arc De Triomphe

3. Joy Cemetery Sapanta

The cemetery name comes from the multitude of crosses from the colorful and satirical poems that are editable inscription on the cross. They see death as a tragic end but as a chance to meet Zamolxe supreme god. This ancient monument in Romania dates from the mid-1930s and is a creation of Stan Ion Patras folk artist, sculptor, painter, and poet at the same time. Patras’s creativity revealed that the famous monumental works of art. For more than 50 years the artist has created hundreds of wooden crosses inscription in his characteristic style. After his death in 1977, his work was continued by his disciple Dumitru Pop Tincu.

4. Piata Mica

Piata Mica, also known as the small square, is quite different from Piata Mare as the place is more peaceful and tranquil compared to the neighboring areas. 5. Statue of Decebalus – Clisura Danube 

The location of this famous monument in Romania is near the town of Orsova, in the cataracts of Small Boilers (Mraconia Bay), on the left bank of the Danube River where the greatest depth: 120 meters. Dacian king Decebal statue is 55m high statue, located on the rocky shore of the Danube, between localities and Dubova Eselnita near the town of Orsova. Decebal statue depicting the last king of Dacia and is carved into a cliff. 6. The Council Tower

It is one of the historical landmarks in Romania located near the City Hall of Sibiu. Currently, it has seven floors after several phases of reconstructions of the Tower. The ground floor has an enormous vaulted passage. The access to the upper floors is through a small door and the spiral stairs with 141 steps lead to the upper floors. The City Tower has a history that dates to 1224 and has additional realistic features from the Renaissance period.

7. Heroes Cross on Mount Caraiman

The largest and most valuable monument of the city Logs, unique in the country, is Cross fallen heroes on the battlefield for unifying the nation. Placed on Caraiman mountain saddle at 2291 m, this one of the oldest monuments in Romania was built between 1926-1927 by Her Majesty Queen Mary.  Placed on a concrete base, the cross is made of steel sections, and inside it was a room that originally housed a dynamo-electric generator which supplied the 300 bulbs of 500 watts each. The dimensions are impressive monuments with a height of 48 m (with all the socket) and a width of 14 m. The monument is currently the City Council administration Logs. Today, with dark, Cross on Caraiman is illuminated by 300 bulbs of 500 watts each and can be seen by tens of kilometers away in the Prahova Valley.

8. Astra Museum of the Traditional Civilization

It is Europe’s largest open-air ethnographic museum which runs in the space of 4 kilometers with spectacular scenes in Dumbrava Sibiului Nature Reserve. 9. Brukenthal National Museum

The whole Brukenthal National Museum is divided into six different areas with individual programs. 10. Victoria Palace

Victoria Palace was started in 1937 and ended in 1944. Because of damage caused by bombing in 1944, work was resumed and completed in 1952. Victoria Palace is the work of Professor Mark Duiliu (1885-1966), a pupil of the Higher School of Architecture in Bucharest (1906), and then the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Paris (diploma in 1912). After a first period of activity, framed first in French academicism formulas, then those of the neo-Romanian style, Duiliu Mark joined the modern trend in the ’30s, becoming one of its main protagonists in Romania.

Originally designed for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this national monument of Romania was during the communist period the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Ministers. In 1990 he became head of Romania’s first post-communist government. In 2004, Victoria Palace was included in the list of historical monuments.

13. The Mountain Hunters Monument in Neamt

The Mountain Hunters Monument is situated in the Targu Neamt city, on the Plesului Hill. The mountain hunters were a battalion of war who attended the tragic events during WWI. In other words, this monument is dedicated to those who fell for their country during the First World War. The construction of this popular monument in Romania was an initiative of the “Hero Worship Society” with the support of city authorities, led by Ioan Balan. The monument is dating from June 29, 1939, when it was inaugurated, an event attended by King Carol II. It was built by the architect Theodor Burca, being one of the greatest monuments of the mausoleum type in the region.

14. Musicoiului Cross in Brasov

Known as Musicoiului Cross, this iconic monument in Romania is situated at the exit of Turkeys Street on a meadow at the foot of Gorita. The cross was made out of stone in 1671 by descendants of the Dean of Braila, in honor of Pious Paraschiva and it was restored in 1902 by Nicolaie Stinghe. Why is it called the Musicoiului Cross? Historians have not yet reached a consensus. Some legends say that at this cross a traitor named Musica was killed because he disclosed to the Brasov city magistrate the plan of the Romanians in Schei.
