History:

The USA and Canada Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1895. It came together as a result of the merger of five churches; The Church of the United Brethren in Christ, The Methodist Protestant Church, the Northern and Southern parts of The Free Methodist Church, and The Pilgrim Holiness Church. This merger was a result of years of discussion and prayerful consideration. The Church moved its headquarters to Kansas City, Missouri, in 1918, and then to Lenexa, Kansas, in 1996. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
