The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth is a division of the Archdiocese of San Antonio and serves the Catholics of Fort Worth and its surrounding area. It was established in 1969 and covers an area of 21,214 square miles. It is the only diocese in north-central Texas. It is one of the best churches in USA which you must visit.

History:

The events leading up to the establishment of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth began in 1965, when Austin Beckman, Bishop of San Antonio, established Catholics Working North as an apostolate that would be instrumental in expanding Catholicism in North-Central Texas. In 1969, the Diocese of Fort Worth was created and later that year, the diocese was formally established with the appointment of Bishop Joseph Delaney as the founding bishop. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
