History:

The idea of creating Zaryadye Park in Moscow was first put forward by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin in 2012. The idea was to create a large urban park in the heart of the city, in the area which used to be bound by Red Square, the Moscow River and Volkhonka Street. Construction of the park began in 2016 with the demolition of some old, existing buildings. The vision for the park was to create a visual reminder of Russia’s historical past and to create a place of public relaxation. When Zaryadye Park opened in 2017 it contained a large number of attractions such as landscaped hills, meadows, and ravines as well as a philharmonic hall and viewing platforms which gave visitors the opportunity to take in the wonderful views of downtown Moscow. The park also contained sculptures such as the Monument to These Times and the Fire of Glory Monument. The park was a great success with the public and is now a popular public meeting space and tourist attraction in the city. Visit one of the famous monuments of Russia with your friends and family.
