Raghunath temple of Malda worships gods in a unique way.It follows its ancient rituals and pujas from the Bhagavata and Vaishnava traditions.The main puja of Raghunath temple is the 'Mahapuja' (great puja) performed twice every month on the day of full moon and the day of Purnimatap, a day of celebrations in the Hindu calendar. It is the day when Lord Vishnu is worshipped. During this puja, a puja thali with fruits, flowers, incense sticks, lamps, sandal paste, vermillion and curd is offered to the deity. Aarti is performed, along with the chanting of shlokas. Prasad is distributed and devotees take part in kirtan. The priests of the temple also offer special prayers to Rama, Lakshmana, and Hanuman.
