Tovar Plaza is a public square located in Mérida State, Venezuela. The plaza was built in the late 19th century by a prominent Venezuelan businessman Julio Tovar. It was dedicated to his mother, Juana Tovar, who had recently passed away. The plaza was initially known as "Plaza de los Bravos" but was renamed Tovar Plaza after its construction was completed in 1895.
