The worshipping manners of Sarnath temple in Uttar Pradesh is quite simple. Devotees come here to offer their prayers and homage to Lord Buddha, who is believed to have attained Enlightenment here. The worshippers have to remove their footwear at the entrance and obtain a plate of flowers from the shrine.
