St. Andrew's Church, Harlestone. In England: History,Facts, & Services
is an Anglican church located in the small village of Harlestone, Northamptonshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. It is an active parish church in the Diocese of Peterborough.
The earliest record of the church is in the 12th century. It was subsequently enlarged and modified several times, notably in the 15th and 19th centuries. The church consists of a chancel, nave, north and south transepts, and a tower. The tower is the oldest part of the church and the most striking and visible feature.
The church has a wealth of historical artifacts and stained glass windows. The twelve ancient bells of the tower were restored following a nationwide appeal in 2005 and their ringing can be heard throughout Harlestone. The churchyard is extensive and renowned for its beautiful wildflower meadows and amazing orchids, among other plants and wildlife.
The church provides both traditional and modern services and activities for parishioners, including Sunday services, weddings, funerals, baptisms, and children and youth activities.
