Mihrimah Sultan Mosque - Istanbul In Turkey is a 16th century Ottoman Imperial Mosque. It was built for Mihrimah Sultan, the daughter of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, in 1548. The mosque was designed by Architect Sinan and is one of his surviving works. It is decorated with impressive mosaics and tiles and is considered to be one of the first Ottoman structures in Istanbul to feature so many decorations. The Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, located in Istanbul, is an Ottoman period mosque. It was built in the 1560s by the mother of Suleiman the Magnificent, Mihrimah Sultan.
