History:
The Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area is a famous tourist attraction located in northern Sichuan, China. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992 and is celebrated for its spectacular scenery of snow-capped mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and forested valleys. This protected area covers an area of 72,000 hectares and contains some of the most stunning nature in the world. Jiuzhaigou Valley has a long and mysterious history with roots stretching back centuries. Legend has it that the valley gets its name from nine Tibetan villages located around it, although official records began in the 15th century, when the area was ruled by the Chanyuan Dynasty. It was later absorbed into the territories of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and then the Republic of China. During the 20th century, the area remained largely untouched by development until 1974 when it was opened up to tourism. In the 1980s, China launched a campaign to protect the area's natural beauty and cultural heritage. In 1984, the Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic Area was officially established. In 1992, it was added to UNESCO's list as a World Heritage Site, making it the first nature reserve and cultural heritage site in the country to gain such status. Since then, the area has seen some development and improvements, including the building of roads, hotels, and tourist amenities. However, Jiuzhaigou remains largely preserved and safeguarded thanks to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can still marvel at the stunning landscapes, ancient villages, and unique culture in the area. Visit one of the famous monuments of China with your friends and family.
