The Evangelical Church of Hesse Electorate-Waldeck (German: Evangelische Kirche Hessen und Nassau, abbreviated EKHN) is a Lutheran Protestant regional church in Germany. It was formed in 1821 from the unification of the Protestant churches of the Electorate of Hesse and the Principality of Waldeck. The EKHN has some 2.5 million members and is structured into 14 districts, 119 churches and 8 preaching circles. The EKHN has long been recognized for its social involvement as well as its commitment to helping vulnerable groups in society. It works in collaboration with other Lutheran and Protestant churches, as well as religious and social organizations and networks at the local, national, and international levels. It also provides a range of services to its members, such as Bible study, pastoral counselling, youth work and interfaith dialogue, among many others.
