The Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRCN) is a denomination in Nigeria that was established in 1925. This church seeks to follow the Bible as the foundation of its beliefs. The denomination has 18 thousand members spread out in 150 congregations. History The Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria was birthed out of a prayer and fasting missionaries sent to Nigeria by the Christian Reformed Churches of North America (CRCNA) in 1920. These missionaries first established their presence in the Ogere community of the Ijebu District and the mssion has since spread to other areas of Ogun and Lagos states. In terms of governance, congregations of the church are grouped into what is referred to as ‘classis’ of which there are 19 in the CRCN. Facts • The main headquarters of the CRCN is located in Fiditi, Oyo State. • The CRCN has 3 scripture-based Confessions which include Heidelberg Confession, Canons of Dordt and Westminster Confession of Faith. • The CRCN is a member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches.
