The Free Wesleyan Church, Longolongo, in Tonga, is the largest denomination of Protestant Christianity in the Kingdom of Tonga. It was founded in 1884 by the Rev. Shirley Waldemar Baker, who was sent by the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society of the United Kingdom. The church was established to meet the spiritual needs of the Tongan people, and it has grown to become the largest Christian denomination in Tonga with over 20,000 followers, accounting for nearly one-third of the total population.
