, Sri Selva Vinayagar Temple, Paradeka, is located close to the northern coast of Sri Lanka. It is one of the four ancient temples in Sri Lanka dedicated to Lord Vinayagar (Ganesha). The temple is said to have been built by King Swarnawansa who ruled over northern Sri Lanka in the eleventh century. It is believed that this temple might have been built as early as 400 CE. The temple has many unique features such as a beehive cave and paintings of Hindu god and goddess on its walls which are believed to have been done by the painter, Sriyar Kambar. It is also believed that a Chaturmukha Vinayagar, four faced image of Lord Ganesha, existed in the Temple.
