Kampilivairavar Temple in Gnanimadam, Poonakari is a Shaivaite shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Supreme God. The worship at the temple follows a daily practice of pujas and aabhishekkams (ritual bath) of the deity. Offerings of milk, honey, flowers, and fruits are made to the main shrine. The temple also regularly performs special pujas and abhishekhams or consecration ceremonies in honour of Lord Shiva and the various other deities associated with him.
