Offerings such as coconut, ghee, sandalwood, and camphor are made as part of the puja. The puja ends with offering of prayers and singing of the Guru stotram. How to reach:

The Thanthontry Gnavairavar Temple can be reached by either car or public transportation. By Car: From Colombo or Negombo, take the Colombo-Puttalam Road. At Chilaw Junction, take the Chilaw-Mannar Road and proceed to Thenmarachchi. About 15 km from Kalpitiya there is a turnoff for the Kaithady Navatkuly South road. Take the Kaithady Navatkuly South road and the Temple is about 8 Km along this road. By Public Transportation: Take a bus from Colombo, Negombo, or Chilaw that goes to Thalawila. From Thalawila take the bus to Kalpitiya. From Kalpitiya there is a bus to Thenmarachchi. After disembarking at Thenmarachchi, take the short bus ride to Kaithady in Navatkuly South.
