St. Winifred’s Church – Kahatawila, Sri Lanka, was built by the British in 1879. It is an Anglican church dedicated to the Welsh saint of the same name. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Srilanka.

St. Winifred’s Church is one of the most unique churches in the entirety of Sri Lanka. The church is built of stone, and is surrounded by a large, elaborate courtyard. The church contains stunning stained-glass windows, as well as a number of historic artifacts.
Services:
Services are held every Sunday at 10am, and are lead by priests from the Anglican Church. The church also has a choir, a Sunday school, and other activities. There is a library for visitors, and the church is open to visitors and worshippers all days of the week.This beautiful church in Srilanka has made a lot of significance in the past.
