Faith Assembly of God Church in Sierra-Leone is an evangelical church in the Pentecostal tradition. It is part of the Assemblies of God (AOG) Kingdom Impact Fellowship, one of the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world. The church was founded in 1998 by Pastor James Clark and is located in the small village of Waterloo, which is about 15 miles from Freetown, the capital of Sierra-Leone. The purpose of the church is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to reclaim and disciple the people of Sierra-Leone. It provides leadership in evangelism, worship, teaching, healing, discipleship and community outreach. The church is committed to proclaiming the gospel to its local congregation, its national mission field and to the whole world. It has an active women’s ministry as well as initiatives to support vulnerable people, including the elderly and disabled. In addition to worshipping, the church also runs a secondary school with 700 pupils, and people are encouraged to join bible study classes and attend missions weekends. The Church also hosts regular conferences and seminars, as well as educational classes for children.
